Tulare County 2021 Advisory Commission on Supervisorial Redistricting


The 2021 Advisory Commission on Supervisorial Redistricting (“Commission”) shall be composed of 11 residents of the County. Applicants must be registered voters in the County. 10 of the members of the Commission shall be selected on a district basis, with 2 selected from among the qualified applicants residing in each current supervisorial district. The 11th member shall be selected from all other qualified applicants.

The application period closes April 30, 2021. Applications must be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors before the close of business on April 30, 2021 in order to be considered timely.

Membership Details:
The Commission shall have two main duties: first, advising the Board of Supervisors on the criteria to be used for redistricting, and then applying those criteria to advise the Board of Supervisors on whether the boundaries of the supervisorial districts need to be changed at all, and, if yes, what the recommended changes should be.
