The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to advise and assist the Health and Human Services Agency on the Agency’s efforts to address issues affecting the Veteran community, and report to the Tulare County Board of Supervisors on a periodic basis. The Veteran Advisory Committee will also be charged with assessing local services available to Veterans and develop proposed strategies to address unmet needs. Additionally, with the concurrence of the Board of Supervisors, the Veteran Advisory Committee will advocate for increased action to improve funding opportunities for Veteran services in the County.
